Supported Birth

Support through pregnancy, birth and postpartum — with calm guidance, pratical care, and zero judgement.
Birth isn’t something you have to figure out on your own. With the right support, you can feel informed, steady, and deeply connected to your experience — whatever path your birth takes.
I’m here to walk alongside you, offering grounded guidance, continuous support, and a calm presence you can rely on.

About Me
I’m Bianca — a birth doula, women’s health Pilates specialist, and a mum of two.
My work is rooted in supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in a way that feels informed, steady, and empowering.
Before stepping into this work, I spent years as a social worker supporting women and families — an experience that deeply shaped the way I hold space today: with empathy, respect, and without judgment.
Alongside my work as a doula, I specialise in women’s health Pilates, supporting pre and postnatal bodies with strength, awareness, and care. This gives me a deep understanding of both the physical and emotional journey of pregnancy, birth, and recovery.
My doula training is grounded in comprehensive, hands-on, face-to-face learning, supported by ongoing mentoring to ensure I continue to offer evidence-based, thoughtful care.
My passion for this work also comes from my own births. Having been supported by a doula both times, I experienced firsthand the impact of feeling held, informed, and truly supported through such an intense and transformative rite of passage.
That experience is what led me here — to be that support for other women.
I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, and supporting you in a way that feels aligned with your values, your body, and your birth.
So that you can move through this experience feeling supported, confident, and deeply held.

How I support you
Birth Doula support
I support you in preparing for birth in a way that feels clear, grounded, and never overwhelming — so you can move into this experience feeling informed, steady, and connected to your body.
And at the same time, birth isn’t something that can be fully planned. Even with preparation, each birth unfolds in its own way. There comes a point where it’s less about knowing exactly what will happen, and more about trusting the process — and trusting yourself within it. That trust can make all the difference, especially in the more intense moments.
This is where I come in. By your side — a calm, grounded presence who believes in the process and in you. Guiding you back to your breath, helping you stay connected, one moment at a time… one contraction at a time.
Supporting you, and your partner, so you can move through birth feeling informed, supported, and connected as a team.
And my support doesn’t end at birth. I’m there with you in the immediate moments after your baby arrives, and continue supporting you through the early postpartum period — so you feel held, supported, and not left to navigate this transition on your own.
Because this isn’t just about getting through birth —
it’s about how you feel within it.
Birth Doula & Pilates support
Blending my work as a doula and women’s health Pilates specialist, this offering supports you both emotionally and physically throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — so you feel informed, prepared, and confident in your body every step of the way.
As we prepare for birth, you’re supported in understanding your choices, while also gently preparing your body — building strength and stability, while creating space through releasing tension and opening the body, so you feel more supported, mobile, and ready for birth.
After your baby arrives, that support continues. As you move through recovery and the early days with your newborn, I’m there to guide you both practically and physically — helping you find your rhythm, support feeding and settling, and gently reconnect with your core and pelvic floor in a safe, gradual way. With the right guidance early on, your body is supported to heal, rebuild, and function well — helping to prevent issues before they arise and setting you up for a stronger, more supported recovery.
Because this is about more than just preparing for birth. It’s about feeling supported in your body, confident in your choices, and deeply held throughout the entire journey.
Postpartum Doula support
Those early weeks with your baby can be beautiful, intense, and often more demanding than expected. Feeding, sleep, and the constant needs of a newborn — all while you’re recovering and adjusting — can quickly feel overwhelming, especially when sleep is limited.
And when your partner returns to work, it can suddenly feel like you’re holding everything on your own.
This transition into motherhood — often referred to as matrescence — is a profound shift, filled with physical, emotional, and identity changes, much like adolescence. You don’t have to navigate this alone.
I come to you as a calm, steady presence — someone you know and trust — so you can soften, rest, and receive the support you need. A few hours where you’re not holding everything by yourself. Where someone is there to care for you, support your baby, and help you find your rhythm. This is what postpartum doula support is all about.
Practical help. A listening ear. Gentle guidance when you need it. So you feel more confident, more supported, and less alone as you move through this transition.

Why have a doula
Birth isn’t something you have to navigate alone.
It’s a powerful, intense, and often unpredictable experience — and having the right support by your side can make all the difference in how you move through it.
With a doula, you are more likely to:
Birth without instruments or surgery
Reduce the need for interventions
Experience a shorter, more efficient labour
Feel more informed, supported, and in control
Walk away with a more positive birth experience
But beyond the research, it’s about how you feel in the moment. Having someone by your side who understands birth, who knows how to support you, and who stays with you — steady, calm, and present — through every stage.
Supporting your partner so you can move through birth as a connected, supported team. Helping you come back to your breath, your body, and your strength when things feel intense. Because when you feel supported, you move through birth differently. With more confidence. More trust. And a deeper sense of being held in the experience.

Frequently asked questions
Do you support hospital, birth centre, and home births?
Yes — I support all birth settings. My role is to support you, wherever you choose to birth, and to help you feel informed, steady, and supported in that environment.
Will you support my partner too?
Absolutely. I work alongside your partner, helping them feel confident, involved, and supported so you can move through birth as a team.
When should I book a doula?
Most women book during their second trimester, but you’re welcome to reach out at any stage. Booking earlier allows more time to prepare and build a strong connection.
What if my birth doesn’t go to plan?
Birth can be unpredictable, and my role is to support you through whatever unfolds. Whether plans change or decisions need to be made, I’m there to help you stay informed, supported, and grounded throughout.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — I understand this is an investment, and payment plans can be arranged to make support more accessible.

Birth belongs to women.
It is not something to be rushed, taken away, or feared — but something to be understood, supported, and deeply respected.
This work is more than what I do — it’s what I believe in.
To support women through one of the most transformative experiences of their lives,
and to help create a world where birth is approached with trust, care, and respect — one birth at a time.
